Forest upset the form book but please the fans
Saturday’s result was certainly a pleasant turn up for the books, especially considering the grim statistics about Forest’s recent goal-scoring efforts featured in Seat Pitch’s numerical preview. Not only did we get our first City Ground goal in three matches, we bagged three of the beauties!
Through the Seasons Before Us felt that Cardiff ‘didn’t really live up to their billing’ but nonetheless praised a ‘very encouraging performance’ and a ‘good afternoon’s entertainment’.
eighteensixtyfive were similarly happy to highlight Forest’s ‘spirit and hard work’ but said the victory was ‘marred once again by poor discipline from the Reds players’.
Forest go to Blackpool tomorrow evening and Sean O’Driscoll will once again be without Adlène Guedioura through suspension, but Jermaine Jenas seems keen to take his place.
